This wonderful opportunity fell in my lap. I got a call from Sara’s (the bride) mom, saying she wanted me to take her daughters wedding photos. Her daughter was currently living in Japan and since her fiancé was Japanese, they would be flying home for the wedding and to take care of last minute details but her mama was laying all the ground work. What a mama! I got to meet Sara just one week before the wedding. She was already aglow and excited. We discussed the fine points and expectations and then parted ways. A week later it was show time. Even amidst the wedding day craziness that inevitably can rattle a bride, Sara remained calm and simply joyful. I was able to meet Shugo (the groom), who was so polite and so in love with Sara. He was simply delighted to have the opportunity to make Sara his wife. They put on their game faces for photos and we did posed as well as silly ones that really made you see them for the fun couple they are.
The Cutler’s have been some of my best customers over the years. They have treated me so well and made each session seem like a friend hangout rather than my job. They finally got a girl, Keira, last year and so we had to do a cake smash for her 1st birthday. We combined it with a quick family session so that I could get updated photos of her older boys and fam photos. The boys are studs and Keira is adorable, which means easy session and birthday cake to eat!!
I love taking photos of my family. My brother and his wife live closest and so I take the most pictures of them. I am a proud Auntie to their kids and love taking photos that show off their beauty and personality. My niece is growing up too fast and is becoming so pretty that I don’t know what my brother is going to do in a few years. My impish nephew brings a smile to my face whenever I see photos of him. I am so blessed!
What a sweetheart! Cayden is beautiful! Born with thick, black hair and handsome brown skin, you could just eat this kid right up! I love Rachel and Andy. They waited for years for this sweet boy to come into their lives. They know first hand the pain of waiting and the sweet victory you get in finally finding you are pregnant. They truly appreciate the magnitude of the gift that was given in Cayden. I was so happy to be the one to capture the joy of this moment with both sets of grandparents, who clearly adore their grandson.
